We are currently recruiting a full-time position with a flexible start date of August 2, 2022 for a Business Accounts Director at our Kingston, Ontario location.


Business Accounts Director – candidates must have at minimum a MSc or PhD in chemistry with over 5 years of relevant industry experience.


All candidates must be highly flexible and capable of managing complex schedules.  A detailed description of the role, responsibilities, and necessary qualifications appear below. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In the cover letter, please describe the extent of your experience in each of the following areas:


  • Government funding programs and/or relations.
  • Preparing project plans and proposals
  • Closing the sales cycle
  • Demonstrated success in client account management
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, active listening)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Translating client needs into a viable project structure and evaluating its fit with GreenCentre capabilities
  • Coordinating the preparation of technical work plans and project proposals, working closely with Technical Team members
  • Managing all client related administrative and reporting functions
  • Participating throughout project delivery to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded
  • Providing recommendations for developing GreenCentre’s capabilities
  • Expanding project opportunities with existing clients – making them repeat clients
  • Supporting client survey and satisfaction initiatives
  • Tracking client metrics for all publicly funded programs


Qualification Requirements

  • PhD or MSc in chemistry with over 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate client technical needs into proposed solutions
  • Demonstrated excellent judgement in preparing project frameworks and estimating costs and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Currently legally permitted to work in Canada.
